Is this AI super resolution?

No. This tool uses high-quality resampling and sharpening filters. It does not use AI and does not recreate missing detail. It enlarges and enhances what is already in the image.

Will upscaling make my image sharper?

Upscaling increases resolution but cannot add detail that was not in the original. The sharpening filter can enhance existing edges.
